about

Born in the misty hills of the Northern Rivers 'Mother Dearest' is a folk-soul collaboration of funky bass lines, groovy drum beats, thick layered harmonies, choirs, trumpet, sax, string trios and mesmerising lyricism, two-years in the making.
The Album is a celebration of inspiration, focusing on the beauty of sharing music, the fun of dancing, the power of lyricism and the inspiring muse of the natural world. Meraki engages with controversial topics in a masterful manner, leaving the listener with a sense of inspiration and strength as they gently encapsulate the complexities of youth in the face of our chaotic and crisis-stricken world. Meraki’s debut album is the musical postcard of their childhood, and pays special homage to their home in the Northern Rivers of NSW Australia.
